Being trapped in the phenex allows her to perform superhuman feats but its still the same as Char's soul trapped in the Sinanju. We took what was the essence of a human and sealed it away in metal. Rita in the Phenex is the ultimate form of the destructive nature of humanity. The concept for the movie really interested me. Everything else was given the time it needed. What could be a really intense action scene is dotted with flashbacks. Sometimes the flashbacks detracted from the scenes in the movie. I feel that if we saw each flashback fully once there would be much more time for everything to develop.

We kept getting little teaser clips of flashbacks and each time we saw them it was basically a repeat plus a little more. The movie feels long and at the same time rushed. Mods if you have a problem with this post please delete.įirst off the plot/pacing. I'll proceed to break down my issues here. I want very much to be able to look back on NT as something I may enjoy. As Luio & Co.Just a long ass copy-paste from my comment on the original nt watch thread.įirst some background, I love Gundam. As well as the Earth Federation Forces and the Sleeves, Luio & Co, a huge corporation with strong connections to Anaheim Electronics, is involved in the struggle for the Phenex. This machine called "Phenex" is the focus of many people's renewed activity. However, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03, which disappeared two years earlier and was erased from history, has shown itself in the Earth Sphere once more. And the two Unicorn Gundams, the mobile suits that played a leading role in the conflict, have been deemed dangerous and secretly sealed away because they displayed power beyond human understanding. Meanwhile, the Neo Zeon remnants known as the Sleeves have temporarily collapsed after the Laplace Incident, and their activities are at a standstill. One year has passed since the contents of Laplace's Box were revealed to the world at the end of the conflict called the "Laplace Incident." Despite the revelation of the Universal Century Charter that acknowledges the existence and rights of Newtypes, the framework of the world has not been greatly altered.
